Sri Oppiliappan Pattabhisheka Ramar Temple

Brief History of the Temple

Thiru Shreenivasan (S/o Ramanujachar), native of Velinallur, Income Tax Officer by profession, was a staunch Rama Devotee. He had been living with a regular practice of Srimath Ramayana Parayanam. He was blessed by the Lord to build a temple. To fulfill his desire, he contacted Shree U.V. Thirukannan Narasimha Raghavachariar, disciple of Srimath 42nd Azhahiya Singar. With blessings, the said Swamy advocated to start a Trust called “Sree Shreenivas Trust” with vital contribution. Such being the case, the Lord showered His Choicest Blessings upon one Shree Shreenivasan, who had come forward from Bombay (New Mumbai) to sell his land at Madipakkam to raise the proposed temple and did so.
